Scammers are contacting customers pretending to be M&T Bank or other legitimate businesses and asking for remote access (also known as Screen Share) to that customers device (s) to resolve an issue on the customer's behalf.December 24, 2019 2:50 pm. Buffalo, NY (WBEN) M&T Bank is warning of a phishing scam where customers are told their account is locked out and need to give information to unlock it. In a statement, M&T says "We will not call or email or text requesting login credentials, PINs, passwords or personal info.
