Don’t get me wrong, 400 FPS is still higher than most of the crossbows on the market. But at this price range, Excalibur is offering crossbows that can fire over 440 FPS. In that regard, this is a con of the crossbow. Still shooting my bone stock R26 and after a season hunting and 11 months of shooting it’s been trouble free. I did notice a wobbly safety switch when new but tightening the screw cured that. I’m shooting Ravin arrows but shortened them to 18” and went to 110 grain inserts for a total arrow weight of 405 grains with 100 grain heads.
