THIS SCREW IS COVERED WITH A CAP OR WELCH PLUG FROM THE FACTORY. Dec 2, 2008 · On the pilot jet air screw you turn it in until it is just barely bottomed - do not tighten it - then back it out the specified turns. That is your starting place for a good idle. You can tweak the screw in or out up to a full turn to get a nice smooth idle without any missing or lumpyness on a fully warmed engine.
